I enjoyed the journey as well, even though the beginning was rather overwhelming. I now have more patience, take more time, examine things more closely, get clearer with my research... I'm going to continue, but not 'officially' since it's going to take me all year I think, to completely redo my personal tree (7200ish individuals), with all the renamed/filed items. I decided that if I had all the information about a source recorded, it didn't matter if I had a period or a semi colon out of place. As long as my reader could find my source, that was all I cared. It was very freeing. Evidence and Evidence Explained were written to help us write better sources, not to beat us over the head with. Most of us only need a few basic templates. Book, Deed, Will, Marriage, Birth, Tombstone.... Find templates for those that you like and work from there. It gets easier as you proceed. Once you get a good template you need for a birth certificate, you can use it over and over again. <br />Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8625432761520934730.post-19875263878993092552015-01-17T08:12:25.710-08:002015-01-17T08:12:25.710-08:00Thanks Patty, I love finding family pictures to sh...Thanks Patty, I love finding family pictures to share with you. It's left me wondering why both siblings would name their male children, as you say four years apart in age, James Northcross. There's got to be a good story there! If there is, I have no doubt that you'll find it, especially now that there's help available with our newly found cousins in TN who have such precious oral history of that side of our family.
